breck..

• when asked if he wanted a orange or a pink plate he replied "fooball payers yike orange, petty girls yike pink." and just a few mins later when i just happened to grab a pink cup from the cupboard he had to remind me "no pink. (sigh)"


• as he's leaving the room he flashes me the peace sign and says "peace, peace out mom."


• "mom! mom! baby wokt up! goo mornin baby! mom, i wuv him. (sigh) so much."


• when he's in bed, trying to stay up, "i need water", " i need my montey" (monkey), and many more. but last night, "mom, i need my hairtut!"(haircut).


• looking at a water bottle, "lid is on. tan't dink it. (sigh) darn it."


• every time he sees the letter B, "mom, mom! B for becks!) (breck)


• and everytime he sees a cowboy, any where.. "MOM!! LOOK, A TOWBOY!!"

he's a busy, crazy little guy!! but oh how i love that kid!!

bagel, anyone?

a few of my favorite things..

this last summer we built a garage with an apartment above it. and in a few years or so, we'll build a house and attach it to the garage and rent out the apartment. i hope that makes sense. one of these days i'll take a picture of the outside and post it, because people always wonder what it looks like and how it works. so any way, i love vintage things and old houses. so when we built our house i wanted to give it a little character. so we bought some old doors, took them to a door company to hang them, and then we stripped, sanded and painted. all of my interior doors are old. these are a couple of them!! don't worry, the door on the left has it's original knobs, they just aren't on yet! these doors go into the bedrooms.
this is my favorite one!! my closet door..
this hangs above my stairs! i bought it white, and just sanded the flowers to show the original colors.

so i guess it's goodbye..

so it's midway through january, and i have yet to take my christmas decorations down. one of the reasons is breck has loved having our tree and asks nightly to turn on the lights so he "tan see bettor" can see better.. no idea where he got that from.. but we have so enjoyed watching him and his excitment with everything about the season. so here's to the best and most blessed time of the year!!

grand canyon

this summer we were able to ride the train to the grand canyon with timmy's parents, his brother chad and his family, and a few of timmy's extended family. i guess i posted these backwards!! sorry, i'm still learning.. this is breck with his cousin skye on the train ride back to williams. breck and his mom..

breck loved the trains!! during the ride they had cowboys walking through the train cars playing the guitar and singing. i think this is when breck's love of cowboys started. it was a great experience, just a long day being pregnant and with a toddler!!

lazy sundays..

since our ward has changed to 8:30 a.m.(so early!), we have a long afternoon!! (we used to go at 1:30 p.m.) so this last sunday this is what it looked like around our house..

so this is our little guy, merrik taft. he has the sweetest personality and has brought us such happiness!!

my very own 'towboy'..

so breck has had quite the imagination lately. in the course of a day he goes from being a football man to a worker man(complete with a tape measure on his side) and many many more. but i must say one of my very favorites is his "nice towboy man".. a cowboy. he clarifies he's nice because this summer we rode the train to the grand canyon and there were robbers- the mean cowboys!!
