sweet things..

breck and lala are great little friends. a day rarely passes that they don't see each other. one of the first things they ask for after waking up is if the other can come over.
i looked out my window to check on them walking up to the davis'. this is what i saw: and this little one. i don't think there is one sweeter..

my mom and little brothers brought this little guy over the other morning.. can't remember the last time i saw an inch worm!

found this lovely piece of fabric. (yes those are my toes at the bottom of the picture. just showing how big this print really is..) i love it. i just can't decide what to make with it. a pillow, a bag, an apron? or do i leave it intact and make it into a quilt/throw!? if anyone has any ideas for me, i would love to hear..

things here have been good! i can't believe another week has gone already!
here's a few highlights of last week!
merr got his 1st tractor ride with his papa gary! (k, skid steer ride.) corban got his elk yesterday. breck's still not too sure what to think about it. he's asked all kind of random questions like "mama, what that elk head eat?" & "why corban cut him up?" and many more! so it's been interesting trying to explain why it doesn't need to eat and everything else!

merr has been learning to feed himself! he sure makes a big mess. he likes to throw some food on the floor, then when he's done in his chair, he scoots around and cleans up the rest of his food!

he is pulling himself up to everything! he's even let go a few times, trying to stand by himself!

he is also getting pretty crazy. he's usually pretty mellow and easygoing. but lately at home he has been getting into everything! you move him from one mess and start to clean that up, and he's already into something else!

breck says merr-merr is his best buddy.

we've gone to a couple football games. merr seems to enjoy them! breck still is a baseball man. but give him a few more games, i think he'll be a football man soon!
timmy has just been busy with work and such. labor day was the last big softball weekend. so we have a little break before wrestling starts! he's getting excited though.

i've just been hanging with these kids, rearranging and trying to organize my crazy house! i'm trying to get christmas at least started on! you have anything in particular you want or need?

it's definitely is turning fall up here. we have started wearing slippers and sweaters in the mornings! breck woke up this morning saying it's chilly! and put on a sweatshirt. he's liking it though. that kid loves to wear pants. i practically had to force shorts on him this summer. and he still always wears socks. he is so funny.

i love old things. i think they bring so much character to a room. timmy doesn't exactly love them. he'd prefer a new set of all matching furniture. but he's been a good sport and let's me do my thing. but he's getting used to me and my sense of style..
i've had my table before we moved into our house. but i just barely refinished it. ( i take forever sometimes) but i just love the result. {& timmy likes it too. yay!} amazing what a coat of fresh paint will do..

{hate spiders}

my brothers love to catch bugs, lizards, snakes, really any crawling thing. this morning they called us to come see some spiders they had found. they were of course so creepy {i hate spiders} or as in the exact words of breck "holy crap, they nasty!"

here's mason, showing me a praying mantis.. {i think!} so amazing, but disturbing!!

they are garden spiders.. banded argiopes, or something like that! they come out in the late summer/early fall. & the boys found at least ten around the front yard! k i really don't want to go outside anymore!!

it has been a week since i've really posted! why does time just hurry by?! a few random pictures of a few random things that we've been doing..

the mornings have been a bit chilly. i've pulled out the slippers and leggings! yay!! {love slippers} being snuggled in a blanket, enjoying some reliv..

merr has been giving such sweet loves lately. we love it.

DIRECTIONS: take one breck, layer any animal on top. for example.. 2 sock monkeys,bear, le-le the kitty, regular monkey, a horse, lion and wally. wrap tight in a blanket. smother with hugs and kisses. yum.

my dad had a birthday! (i embarrassed him in primary. we made him come to the front to sing to him! haha, the kids loved it. he'll probably be mad at me for mentioning it here also!) love you..
merr is growing up too fast. he loves to play with big boy toys. & loves to play in the boys room. nice for me, gives me a little break from having him on my hip or at my ankles. .

i've been watching old episodes of the office lately. i love that show. it reminds me of you.
